Jenna & Zach // Romantic Wilderness Sunset Engagement // Slate Run Ashville, Ohio
These two did every weird idea I could even think of! WE HAD A BLAST!! When you see people saying "trust your photographer" we MEAN IT! All those weird things you are doing create the most natural real moments between you two and then you end up with an amazingly fun and gorgeous session like this one here! ANYWAYS these two are getting married later this year at Irongate (OH MY LAWD) and I seriously cannot wait!
How we met
"It all started back in college when I was attending the Ohio State University. One of my friends from high school wanted me to visit her at Mount Vernon Nazarene University. She kept on telling me about her roommate I should meet and was telling me all the great stuff about her. Even though I was interested at the time, I never took the time to visit.
Looking back to that time I’m not sure why I didn’t take a weekend to go visit my friend Genna and explore Mount Vernon. I could have missed out on the opportunity to meet Jenna. Luckily, I was able to see her for the first time at my friend’s Genna’s wedding. It was May 26th, and I knew who she was, but she had no idea who I was. That didn’t matter because when I saw her, I was mesmerized. She was absolutely beautiful. Even though I saw her for the first time, we barely interacted. I wasn’t sure if she was even noticing me at all.
After that day I couldn’t stop thinking about her. Even though a couple of months had passed, I still wanted to get to know her. Once again Genna came to the rescue. We went to El Vaquero on August 20, 2016, for Genna’s birthday and that’s when I first got to talk to Jenna. I couldn’t have thought of a better way to celebrate a friend’s birthday than sharing a bowl of queso and talking to a beautiful lady that soon will be my wife." - Zach
How he proposed
"On March 4th, 2018, Zach and I went to his parents’ house in Dublin, Ohio to have lunch. It was one of the first nice spring days so I had suggested to him that we take a walk. Little did I know, he had already planned on a walk and so much more! We walked through his neighborhood then down to a little pond with a bridge. As we approached the bridge overlooking the green, Zach quickly dropped to his knee. My heart was racing! Quite honestly, I was so excited and nervous I can barely remember everything that was said, but I do recall Zach's voice as he said, “will you marry me?” and I of course said yes! Afterward, we returned to his parents’ home to celebrate with friends and family. I can't wait to marry my best friend and to see what God has in store for our future together." -Jenna
