Christmas Ohio Wedding // Greg + Brooke
Tis’ the season for a lovely Christmas Ohio Wedding. Greg and Brooke got married on December 14th. With it being the holidays they planned a beautiful Christmas themed wedding. From mistletoes, to gorgeous greenery, and cascading cathedral ceilings this wedding had me in awe for the holidays.
If you love the holidays as much as these two, a Christmas Ohio Wedding can be absolutely dazzling!
They each got ready in their childhood homes. The day was so special, each of them starting off their celebrations in home sweet home surrounded by family and friends. Each home decorated with their childhood Christmas decorations. It was so cozy and precious. They each exchanged presents and letters. There were so many heartfelt tears during the exchange.
Stepping back into your childhood home to get ready for your wedding is so special. I love when my couples incorporate into their day pieces of their stories and the roots of who they are. It adds to the charm of the day.
We then made our way to St. Patrick Catholic Church in Troy, Ohio. Built in 1915, you could feel the history in every nook and cranny of the church. So much focus on detail in the architecture everywhere you looked. Brooke shared a first look with her father before the ceremony. It was sweet as he wiped her tears away for her. The ceremony was gorgeous. Greg also played the Saxophone which was such a cool touch.
I recommend exploring the area around your ceremony venue for portrait locations. Downtown Troy, Ohio has so many desirable locations. Lit up for the holidays with Christmas lights sparkling everywhere we went.
We took a party bus around Troy to take portraits. The drinks were flowing throughout the bus as they celebrated the newlyweds. These two were just so much fun. After dancing our way through town we made our way back to the reception. Their grand entrance was so adorable sharing a kiss under the mistletoe. Each speech made had everyone laughing and crying. They really know how to celebrate with their family and friends. There was lots of love and support from everyone. That's not even the end of the fun they made sure to go out with a bang. They had a dance off at the end of the night and it was hilarious. Everyone surrounded the couple as they danced off. It was a holly jolly wedding day!
